cute as a chocolate button

my saturday started off tasty! i had some cottage cheese and pear plus a little bit of bacon and eggs.

we didn’t have anything planned for the day but i wanted to spend as much time as i could outside since it was so nice today. we decided to go to west newton (a couple towns over) and shop around a bit before catching a movie at a cute indie theater. it got a bit windy so we stopped at a small irish bakery, keltic krust, to warm up. i sipped on a red tea and had some creamy tomato soup.

in addition to bread, sandwiches and baked  treats, they had a small selection of packaged goodies like jams, digestive crackers and cadbury chocolate. tommy and i shared these cute little buttons. mmm…melt in your mouth goodness.

i also snacked on some slivered almonds and dried cherries throughout the day.

and maybe because he felt guilty for eating the last button, tom bought me this. (ignore my dry cracked hands!)

apparently i was on a chocolate kick today because i picked up this candle while i was out. red velvet cake- best scent ever!

i also bought these (since candles don’t actually do much for chocolate cravings)

i love chocolate and mint! and i’ve been looking for those figamajigs forever! i had enough chocolate for the day so i limited myself to trying a little piece of the luna bar (which was so good i’m still thinking of finishing the bar).

for dinner i continued my quest to go through the contents of the fridge before they go bad and fixed myself a cole slaw with cabbage, carrots, apple, dried cherries, and slivered almonds with some pulled pork on the side. i went back for seconds on the slaw. 

and since today was such a chocolate-y day, i’ll end with this cute quote i love:
