shake scrabble and roll

February 7, 2009

i used up some leftovers to make a quick lunch- fried rice with brown rice, sprouts, tofu, mushroom and cabbage. it was eh~ a little bland- i only used sesame oil and red pepper flakes to season. i’d say once a week my mom mixes leftover rice with bean sprouts and i never liked it much, so i don’t know why i thought i’d like mine.

i was craving another choco pb shake so that’s what i had for dinner. i used some tofu instead of banana since i’m all out and it was just as good. i had a “duh” moment after my first sip because i was a bit afraid of what the tofu would taste like and was surprised to find out it tastes just like soy milk. i know! who would have guessed?

i also had an orange, and later some corn tortilla chips and salsa while kicking tommy’s ass in scrabble.

yup, it wasn’t even close. a very exciting friday night indeed 😀

as you can see, i was reading us weekly earlier. what do you think about the whole jessica simpson thing? the photos are awful, and her outfit is unfortunate but she is NOT fat! i have a confession though. i love when they post comparison pictures of celebs at different weights. it’s not exactly “celebs! they’re just like us!” but it is a little reassuring seeing that i’m not the only who has to work hard to not only lose weight but to maintain it.

*warning: thin celeb pics ahead!

i’ve had this picture up in my kitchen forever:

and this one has been saved on my computer for a while:

don’t worry. i don’t want to look like nicole richie at 88 lbs! i do think she looks great at 110 though- still very thin. it reminds  me to get to a healthy, happy weight and not just focus on getting to a low number. i used to obsessed with “100,” but realistically, i don’t think my body was meant to get there. and who would call hilary fat at 130? i hope no one! “through thick and thin” is such a ridiculous title. i’ll admit i was a bit bigger and probably had different intentions when i clipped this out of shape magazine…but now i look at the hilary photos and think, wow she looks cute and perfectly fine at 130, i really should stop calling myself a fatass.

Totally agree with all that you have said about celebrities. And I really hate how society is bashing Jessica Simpson. I think she is absolutely no where near fat!

I agree that the JS thing is totally ridiculous. Yes, it was a horrible, horrible wardrobe choice. But she is by no definition fat, and doesn’t deserve all this horrible press! She is clearly just living her life and having other priorities.
Nicole Richie looks much to thin to me (even at 110), but I think Hillary Duff looks great. Fun post!

Jessica Simpson needs to be treated better by the media – she didn’t do anything wrong. It’s a shame.
