kids cuisine v.2

February 18, 2009

i had my usual yogurt mess for breakfast (plain chobani, banana, crumbled jamfrakas, and raspberry preserves). my camera seems to have eaten the picture though. lame!

thankfully my lunch pictures didn’t disappear cus i think it turned out super cute! i made a summer bbq themed kids cuisine/ bento style lunch.

that’s oranges, cornbread, cherry filling w/ cool whip (aka sugar + extra sugar on top), blue cheese cole slaw, and black beans. the cole slaw was made w/ plain yogurt and some blue cheese which was good, but i’m not gonna lie and say i didn’t miss the mayo!

aren’t the tv trays cute? tom has a green one, but i need to find him keroppi utensils šŸ˜€

and just for fun (and to futher procrastinate on work/cleaning), these are my bento supplies! this stuff is only half of it! there are egg molds, rice molds, sauce bottles, food picks, rice molds, dividers- i don’t even know how to use some of the stuff because the instructions are in japanese. i went thru a bento craze 2 summers ago and i used to regularly email my friends with a picture of my lunch. in a way, i guess food blogging was just the next step šŸ™‚

does anyone want me to pack them a lunch? my bf comes home for lunch, but i think i may have him stay one day just so i can make him a hello kitty themed bento box. haha, lucky him šŸ™‚

luckytastebuds- thanks! i’m a fan of your blog too!

inna- tommy made it! well, i whined about how he never helps me in the kitchen, and how cooking together can be oh-so-romantic so he grudgingly did it.
