cereal crazy

April 8, 2009

i had a massive bowl of cereal this morning. i finished off the last of my rice krispies with lots of banana and strawberry slices drenched in unsweetened soy milk.

i’m both sad and relieved to have finished off the “unhealthy” cereal that has been staring back at me whenever i open the cabinets. i didn’t want to “splurge” on a box of kashi while they were still there, so now i’m free to go crazy in the cereal aisle 🙂

what’s was your favorite cereal as a kid? what’s your current fave?

my answer= i loved kix and it was my cereal of choice well into college…and beyond. i’m still searching for my fave healthy and adult-y cereal, so i’m looking forward to your answers!

My favorite as a kid would have to be… lucky charms, golden grahams, frosted flakes, cinnamon toast crunch… etc etc. LOL

But lucky charms.. chocolate lucky charms, are my favorite now! hahaha, oh and cheerios, but hey, chocolate wins all.

Fun question… as a kid, I loved cinnamon toast crunch, which my parents would never buy for my brother and me. Nowadays, I have numerous favorites! Barbara’s pb puffins, Kashi heart to heart, go lean & go lean crunch, nature’s path pb & pumpkin granolas – I could go on 🙂 I need blinders while walking down the natural food’s cereal aisle!

i love using things up because it means new buys 😀 when i first came to england (aged 8, almost 9) we used to get a variety pack of various single-serving boxes of cereal, and since i didn’t like milk (still don’t like it on its own) but was always made to finish it, i always wanted coco pops (chocolate rice crispies) because it made the milk chocolatey, = drinkable! but my mum always made us mix chocolatey cereal with other cereal to make it healthier (even though i’m pretty sure the others probably weren’t any better!) 😉

My favorite was Cinnamon Toast Crunch. I haven’t had that in a long time – but I still love it. Now I like the Kashi Go Lean Crunch and Honey Bunches of Oats.

Hi lady, thx for visiting my blog!

I loved OHs and Lucky Charms as a kid. As a grown-up, I love Nature’s Path Heritage Bites mixed with PB Puffins. I also still love Lucky Charms. Those marshmallows, while as fake as you can get, are SO good.

I love Kashi but I also have an affinity for goog ole’ Cheerios and, if I want to feel like a kid again, Golden Grahams!
