hi from boston :)

June 18, 2009

after brunch on sunday, nay and i met up with tommy to watch a movie. i was still full from dinner but that didn’t stop me from taking bites out of their concession stand buys:

movie

when the movie was over, tom and i had about two hours til the next train home. i killed about two minutes of them by making a video. i didn’t plan it out or have a subject in mind to talk about, so i kinda ramble at the end and show you guys trees and grass. 🙂

enjoy!

here are some pics of the public garden that i talk about.

and lastly, since i’m on such a ‘i ❤ boston’ kick, i’ll share a short list of the many things to do out here during the summer:

  • free friday flicks at the hatch shell: i love this! bring friends and a picnic dinner. such a great way to spend a friday evening.
  • “not your average night out” free movie thursdays at the pru. way better than staying in and watching tv.
  • lantern festival at forest hills cemetery: this is one of the best things i’ve ever done in boston. forest hills is a gorgeous and historical cemetery that holds lots of special events throughout the year. at the lantern festival, you can picnic on the lawn and write messages on paper lanterns to those who have passed. when the sun sets, everyone floats their lanterns on the lake…it’s just so amazing.
  • ipswich shuttle: all of the subway accessible beaches in MA kinda suck. the ipswich shuttle will take you to crane beach from the commuter rail station for free. there’s also a neat-o pick your own farm near by that you can stop at as well.
  • boston harbor islands: cute little islands just a ten minute ferry ride from boston!

alright, see you guys after dinner…i plan getting back to “regular” food blogging then.

That juice looks so yummy. I need to find a juice bar nearby. Sad that they left out the spinach though!

Cute video! I love “meeting” bloggers through videos like that.
Boston seems like such an awesome city. I really hope I can visit soon. Thanks for the mini-tour 🙂

Cool Boston pics. I haven’t been there for 6 years, but I really like Boston. I’d love to take one of those duck tours someday. I’ve always gone in the winter, so they haven’t been available.
