i had a fun weekend! it included lots of dancing and a just little bit of champagne which are two things that make me happy 🙂 unfortunately, i don’t have many pics to share…
friday night (which counts as the weekend, right?), i had dinner at miracle of science, which you may remember from my central square bar hop. i always thought their periodic table menu was so cute, until i had to squint to read it from the bar…i’ve become one of those old people who see in the dark.
i ordered a shrimp skewer (which came with a tortilla and mango salsa), and a veggie skewer (which came with another tortilla and the yummiest blue cheese sauce). i ate everything but one tortilla. this was SO good especially paired with a vodka tonic 😉
afterward, we went next door to middlesex lounge where there was a little dancing and a lot of camera whoring on my part…gotta love the restroom mirror pics.
i didn’t last very long in middlesex…nay (my friend-date for the night) found a better girl to play with, so i headed to privus on the other side of town and met up with another friend. i sipped a champagne cocktail and for once in my life said NO to the bonchon!
is it sad i don’t remember the first half of my saturday at all? probably because it was so uneventful….i do remember this twix bar though. i love them straight outa the freezer…mmm!
i went out again on saturday night…this time melinda joined us and we went to felt!
i take like a decade to get ready and always end up skipping dinner when i am going out , which never ends well. this time, i remembered to grab a bar on my way out to eat in the car.
i had this cherry pretzel probar…and holy cow was it good! i couldn’t really see what i was eating in the dark, but there were big chunks of pretzels, dried cherries, and dark chocolate in it. the ingredient list says there are also a whole bunch of nuts, seeds, other dried fruits and even peanut butter in it…yum! it did a good job of keeping me full and was very tasty…but i don’t know if it’s worth over $3! that is just soo much for a small bar!
anyway…felt was cheesy but fun. there were a whole bunch of birthday/bachelorette parties going on. we danced and danced, and i drank a glass of champagne and had a pineapple upside down cake shot.
i didn’t bring my camera out, but here’s one i stole from facebook:
