snack happy

March 17, 2009

i wasn’t in the mood for a real dinner so i decided to snack my way through the night. i promise this wasn’t out of pure laziness- i actually made a salad for dinner but just wasn’t feeling it 😦

so far, i’ve eaten a golden delicious apple with almond butter, cabot greek yogurt with sliced almonds, and graham cracker with apricot preserves (x 3). i couldn’t help it with the cookies, i just baked another batch and they’re so warm and yummy!

and i have my power yoga dvd ready to do after i post this, as well as a snack set up in case i get hungry afterwards- which i’m betting will be the case since i’m the much dreaded bottomless pit today!

not too bad though, right? i mean except for the cookies…

okay, i’m off to complete day 17 of the yoga challenge before i lose motivation. ciao!

you’re doing awesome! more and more studies show that it’s actually better to eat in “snacks” (aka 5 small meals a day rather than 3 large ones) so you’re right on track! As long as your snacks are controlled (which yours totally are) you’re golden 🙂

My dear, Pleaase, that isn’t bad AT ALL. I do that alot! Eat snacks instead of a real dinner, and I overdo it WAYYY more than you do, so no worries! Plus you’re workin’ out after anyways!! 🙂

There’s nothing wrong with snacking, as long as they’re healthy. People assume “snacking” has to be eating crisps, chocolates, ice cream sat infront of the TV.

That’s a fantastic snack night! It’s my favorite way to eat, personally. It’s so much more fun than eating just one big thing. And you kept it all under control too! I’d totally just sit with the box of crackers or cookies and eat unknown amounts 🙂

don’t you just love greek-style yogurt. one of my favorites was plain Fage yogurt…and I would add fresh agave nectar and sliced almonds. the best! *kae*

I love eating dinner in little “courses”/snacks like this 🙂 Sometimes it’s just the way to go!

Thanks so much for stopping by the challenge—I’m so glad you’ll be joining in!

haha, don’t worry, you didn’t overdo it, it just feels like that because of the continuous snacking…yummy snack, though! and I love the hello kitty spoon! I have a friend who collects hello kitty stuff, and she’s gonna swoon over this one…
